NOTE: Animal Welfare is DIFFERENT than Animal Rights. Animal welfare allows for the keeping of animals as pets, and for the eating animals as food. Animal Welfare is focusing on making sure the animals are cared for and treated well in general. This means things like proper food, shelter, love, and so forth.
